Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations at our Salt Lake branch. This role ensures products are received, stored, picked, and shipped accurately, safely, and on time. The Warehouse Manager leads the warehouse team, maintains inventory integrity, and works closely with sales, purchasing, and transportation to support branch performance and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put away, picking, packing, and shipping
- Lead, train, and hold accountable warehouse staff to meet performance, safety, and accuracy standards
- Coordinate daily transfers to other branches. Making sure they are picked accurately and shipped on time in good condition.
- Ensure warehouse layout, organization, and cleanliness support efficiency and safety
- Enforce all safety policies, OSHA requirements, and company procedures
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with carriers and internal teams
- Monitor workloads and staffing levels to meet volume demands
- Identify and implement improvements to processes, layout, and material flow
- Manage warehouse equipment, including forklifts and racking, and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of warehouse or distribution experience, including supervisory responsibility
- Strong working knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations
- Proven ability to lead teams and set clear expectations
- Experience with warehouse management systems and basic computer skills
- Forklift experience and understanding of warehouse safety standards
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing a multi-shift or high-volume warehouse
- OSHA or warehouse safety training certifications
- Experience working in a branch based or distribution environment
