Building The Mold – Part 2/12
After the template is created, a mold is built. You’ll discover what type of tools and products help make the countertop stronger, and how to transform the template into a working mold. (9:10) -
Mixing & Casting – Part 3/12
During this section you’ll learn a few tricks of the trade in order to create a good concrete consistency, release air bubbles in the concrete surface, and create a flat surface all without compromising the integrity of the concrete. (7:21)

Working The Surface – Part 4/12
Working a concrete surface can take some practice, and you’ll learn techniques on how to create a smooth surface using proper tools and drying time. With each step you’ll be continually working the surface until the concrete surface is smooth like glass. (4:28) -
Removing The Molds & Polishing – Part 5/12
Once the surface has dried, it’s important to safely remove the mold, flip the surface and allow the concrete to dry thoroughly on all sides. Next, the edges need to be rounded. The concrete surface will change depending on how it is polished. You’ll learn tips on how to properly polish the surface using different pad finishes. (3:13) -
Sealing & Waxing – Part 6/12
Sealing and waxing helps to make the concrete surface shine and bring out some of the natural aggregates in the concrete. You’ll learn penetrating sealer and satin sealer application techniques as well as what type of wax is best to use on a countertop. (10:56) -

Creating a beautiful concrete surface is just one part of making a countertop. During this clip you’ll learn tips on how to properly carry and install your concrete countertop in order to avoid cracking and costly mistakes. (9:51) -
Pressed Technique: Molding & Casting – Part 8/12
This section will teach you everything you need to know about constructing a beautiful concrete surface using the signature Buddy Rhodes pressed technique. You’ll learn how to create veins throughout the countertop as well as how to properly add concrete and reinforcements without affecting the veins. (7:06) -
Pressed Technique: Adding The Paste – Part 9/12
The Buddy Rhodes paste is used to fill in holes and create edges and corners. With the pressed technique, it will also allow you to incorporate multiple colors adding even more depth to the countertop. (3:51) -
Creating A Sink Knockout – Part 10/12
By using basic materials, like Styrofoam and tape, you can create a knockout template for virtually any sink size or shape. You’ll also learn what tools you need to make an accurate template and how to keep the foam surface smooth. (3:35) -
Cast-in-Place Countertops – Part 11/12
The cast-in-place application can be somewhat tricky because your are installing the countertop directly onto the cabinetry. It is important to make sure the working surface is flat and level and to adjust the mold to prevent drips and make screeding simple. (11:02) -
