ICS news

  • Thanks, John, we wish you the best!

On January 29th, 2010 John Anderson, Idaho Falls, Id Branch Manager, retired after 20 memorable years.

John Managed the Id branch for 18 years, his career began in May, 1989 when ICS opened it's doors in Id. He worked for two years as an inside salesman before being promoted to branch manager for the remainder of his carrer. While he was manager he has seen many changes come to Intermountain Concrete, as the industry has continuously been advancing. As business has expanded, John has moved the store twice to it's present location. He maintained an organized and clean facility.

With the training ICS & Vendors have provided, John has acquired the skills for finding the unusual product to meet the contractors needs. For instance, during one of the many building phases at the INL, John assisted the engineers in developing a special need grout. He has also been regularly called upon to visit job sites and to evaluate a problem and devise a solution.

John has developed and retained close relationships with many contractors and vendors. They new that they could call on John when needed(including weekends and holidays), and that he would have a solution to their problems and was able to deliver the needed materials.

John was born in St. Albans, England, moved to Canada in 1962, then moved to the United States. John became naturalized citizen in 1974. In Idaho, he met his beautiful wife, Marla, they raised four beautiful daughters, Heather, Bonnie, Llew and Audrey. He has held many different callings in his church, he sat on the Rigby City Council for 10 years, and served four years as Mayor of Rigby.

Now that John is retired, he plans on spending more time with his wife, children, and their 8 grandkids. He also looks forward to devoting more time to four wheeling, snow shoeing, and playing games. John and Marla are planning on serving and LDS mission in the near future.

We wish John luck in his future endeavors.
